PRAY: CLASSIC ROCK SOCIETY DECEMBER/JANUARY 2008 by Miles Bartaby
"The song itself is a thundering rock track with a great bass line and crunching guitars. It is far heavier than anything on their debut album Slowburn, and signals a marked change in direction for their second album which is due to follow shortly."
PRAY: GRAVE CONCERNS EZINE DECEMBER 2007 by Vena Kava
"Pray, the new Single from the band Anemo straight out of the UK, must be heard. What stands out the most is the amazing female vocalist who has an unusually powerful yet beautiful voice, that just simply rocks out with the music. It is rare to find a voice so strong, punchy, and all at the same time totally hip. The song is a blend of powerpop and alternative rock, but it also has a dance remix that gets you grooving. The lyrics are exceptionally well written and the song is dynamically sound. What is more, the song is catchy, memorable, and the production is A++
I really think this band has a lot of potential; this is a song I expect to hear out on the dance floor and the radio soon."

PRAY: MUSIC-ZINE NOVEMBER 2007 by Matt Churchill
"The band, who won the 2006 Classic Rock Society Best Live Act award, have written an empassioned rock song with a strong anti-war message. Any band with the tenacity and intelligence to articulate their views to a mass audience must not only have bottle in abundance, but a well founded confidence in the studio and stunning live show. Toying with politics in music can sometimes lead to disaster ("Shoot The Dog" anyone?) but with this, Anemo have cracked that particular nut with no problem at all."

PRAY: VOTED SINGLE OF THE MONTH BY THE LINC ONLINE OCTOBER 2007
"Phenomenal. But perhaps the best thing about Pray is that it is a stayer. Unlike many singles that quickly loose all their appeal once you have heard them for the millionth time, this song, if anything, gets better with each listen. We have been listening to it daily since it first arrived at LINC HQ six weeks back, and we are still loving it.
Do not just take our word for it though, give them a listen yourself. Please. It is rare that we ever beg you to do anything, but please, for the sake of all that is good and right in music, do yourself a favour and allow yourself to fall in love with this song."

PRAY: GOD IS IN THE TV OCTOBER 2007 by Mike Jennings
"an excellent advert for the new album, thanks to several things. Brooding bass, rhythmic drums and powerful guitars combine with a strong feminine vocal performance to create a single that, whilst firmly entrenched against the Iraqi war, manages to refresh the genre thanks for a new approach."

PRAY: JUKEBOX OCTOBER 2007
"Vocalist Hazelle Woodhurst at times sounds reminiscent of Annie Lennox, which when mixed with a bit of soft rock makes a surprisingly pleasing combination. The music, while nothing particularly inventive, hits all the right notes and carries you along on a wave of crisp percussive verses and vigorous choruses."

PRAY: UKCD OCTOBER 2007 by fatbloke
"Hotly tipped by the one and only Bruce Dickinson as "One to Watch" Anemo release their vision of what Rock music should sound like. The powerful passion rich vocals are on of the first things that hit you from vocals Hazelle Woodhurst and then the fuzzy bass and driving beats hit you."

PRAY: TOXICPETE OCTOBER 2007 by Toxic Pete
"Anemo deliver "Pray" with typical energy and well honed musicianship; regardless of the sentiment, "Pray" is a great single and deserves to do well. I also hope that people take heed of Anemos words and stop to think about the dreadful loss and heartbreak associated with war and any type of conflict. Good work again by Anemo - great sentiment and brilliant "now" rock music."

PRAY: GET READY TO ROCK OCTOBER 2007 by Pete Whalley
"Opening with eastern wailing, and this time out with twin lead vocals from sisters Hazel and Erika Woodhurst, the good news is that Anemo have taken their sound onto a new level with a terrific rock track that is not only one of the best you'll hear this year, but which also reveals a band that no longer sounds derivative. The future looks bright. Very bright indeed. Magnificent. ***** "
